Hi there! Welcome.
I am Hari Subhash. I use illustrated bytes to maintain a curated collection of blogs that introduce different concepts by combining text and short animations. I mostly write about stuff that I am currently learning or have taught myself. I am also writing an illustrated book on R for absolute beginners.
Why bother?
Teaching yourself new and unfamiliar topics can be hard. I have picked up almost everything I write about here on my own. This has often meant hours sifting through content till I find something that resonates. Years of doing this have helped me distill a few principles about the type of material that works for me. I like to combine different modes (visual, text and practice) when I am learning that allow me to pause and absorb a concept at depth.
This website (and the book(s)) combine text with animations to allow you (and me) to do just that. This is how I like to learn. These resources are also a show of gratitude to all the other content creators and teachers out there who put out free resources for learners like me.
